We were a large group of 17 students from Sweden looking for a place to stay in Warszawa for a couple of days. Kanonia suited us perfectly! We accommodated three apartments. The apartments were simple but very clean. The location of the Hostel is extraordinary. Nearby there are several fascinating museums, as well as the royal castle which is beautiful. In addition, there are many restaurants and bars in close proximity. As for the service, the communication with the Hostel prior to and during the stay was good. We paid half the rent before coming to Warszawa and half the rent when having arrived. The first half was paid with an invoice which went smoothly and the second with a credit card. If you are looking for affordable accommodation in Warszaw at a central location, Kanonia is a good choice!

We were traveling around eastern Europe for the Christmas markets and stayed in an apartment here for Christmas eve, Christmas and the day after. We were told in an email that nothing would be open in Warsaw on Christmas ever or Christmas day, so we bought lots of stuff in the airport to eat just in case. Well it turned out that there were restaurants, shops and the Christmas markets open every day we were there. The apartment was perfect, located just off the square with the market in view. it is a beautiful old town and the people are so friendly. While small, the apartment was warm and had everything we needed.

Good stay...but need some improvements!

I have stayed in one of their apartment. Very centrally located. The apartment was clean and with everything you need (I have to say that there are not so many tools for the kitchen, so I don't think it is really possible to cook like at home etc etc). I had breakfast once in the hostel (but you have to order it the day before). Prices ok. I think is a good option for a trip in Warsaw. I would suggest some improvements for the staff working there. Here below my experience that can be a base to understand how to improve the service: - I had to take a train the early morning and I asked them if they could call me to be sure that I woke up in time to take the taxi. The girl said yes, but then she called me like few minutes before the taxi was there, and she didn't wait my reply; - to two different persons I asked some tips for the visit of the city and they just told me to look at the main sites indicated on the map; - the last day I was coming back to the hostel and on the way I called them to arrange a taxi to be sure that the taxi was there once arrived (I had to go to the train station). I arrived at the hostel (even late because there was traffic on the way) and they haven't called the taxi yet.

Kanonia is a very basic hostel, though rooms are clean and the location is outstanding, situated in Old town, only 50m from the main square. If you’re for a few days in Warsaw to visit the majn attractions and don’t mind sharing a bathroom, this is perfect. Please note taxi’s are not allowed in old town. They can drop you of 200m from the hostel

My friend and I stayed in one of the apartments which was a short walk from the main hostel. It was small but had everything we needed for the few days we were there. Fantastic price and fantastic location - right in the centre of Warsaw Old Town. Highly recommended!
